Closing the donation campaign

E-mail Print

Today I have closed the donation campaign for the children in Lesotho. 2,573 USD were donated by amateur radio operators, radio clubs, distributors and other individuals from many different countries. I will take the opportunity to hand over this amount on their behalf to the committee of the Leratong Community Centre, in Rome, Lesotho, during my recent visit. The copy of the document of receipt this amount will be published, here, in my website. The list of donors still remain available on-line. I should like to say many thanks for all those ones, who kindly sent their contribution and gave a hand in this way to the orphan and vulnerable children living in very hard circumstances in Lesotho.

My complete log now is uploaded to the LotW and eQSL system.

See you in the bands again between 8 - 22 March from Lesotho.

I will once again be back to the Kingdom of Lesotho, between 08 March and 22 March 2010. I will set up my station in the Trading Post Lodge, Roma  near Maseru.  I plan to working on the HF bands, throughout 80-10 meters, on CW,  SSB and RTTY. The station setup: ICOM 7000 transceiver with 300 W solid state PA, 10,2 m wire vertical antenna with SG-235 automatic antenna coupler. I should like to be on the air as much time as possible, however, please note, that this is a single operator mini expedition.

I will leave Budapest on 7 March to Frankfurt, than to Johannesbourg. I will arrive to Maseru airport in the afternoon on 8 March.  Hopefully I can set up the antenna and the station before the sunset. Logsearch will be available here in my website. QSL via HA5AO. See you in the bands.

Which band and mode do you need 7P, Lesotho?I try to organize my operation schedule from Lesotho, to taking into consideration your needs, as well. I would appreciate your feedback to the question: Which band and mode do you need 7P, Lesotho? The result of the poll will be just a guideline for me and not a promise. You know, of course, that the propagation is the main determining factor, so please do not expect to much on the 15 m, 12 m and 10 m bands. Please, do not complain if you feel that I would not pay to much attention to a particular band or mode, or I am working on a band, when there is opening to your direction on another band. I will do my best, but please keep in mind, that this is a single operator, mini expedition with strong antenna and power limitation. Moreover, I also have some basic needs, like: some sleeping, meals, e.t.c..
